Sometimes your board gets together and plans a Pizza Party Social or a Circle of Learning.  Other times, we take a hard look at our budget to determine what to do next as our costs are rising while our income is not.

This month, your board voted for a dues increase which we had been avoiding for many years. Starting with membership renewals in March, dues will increase by $10.00 for single memberships and $15.00 for family memberships. That translates to $45.00 for individuals and $65 for family memberships per year.  Student membership remains at $12.00 per year.

This is still a great bargain for those who take advantage of their memberships by reading their Monitor, coming to meeting nights and/or taking classes. We know you will all understand the situation. This is the first dues increase since 1992 when we had over 1000 members.  As you all know, costs for everything have gone up substantially since 1992.
